Tropical Murals

For some reason, I am feeling very beachy today. I was thinking about vacations and where I would like to go. There is no better place for me than on some warm beach with sand between my toes and a cold drink at my side. I love the sounds I hear at the beach the most. Waves repeatedly lapping the shoreline, soft call of sea birds, children laughing as they play in the surf and make sand castles.

http://www.customizedwalls.com has several tropical images to choose from. I can imagine being able to stare at them on some cold day in January and feeling relaxed even when I can not be at the beach.

Website videos!

Well, we accomplished something pretty fantastic last week! Two new productions for Customized Walls.

It was a hot and sticky weekend but I really needed to get going with a video that showed how to use our peel and stick fabric for murals, wallpaper, etc. I had come up with an idea a few weeks ago to use the kids. I thought it would be cute PLUS show how easy it is to use Customized Walls. First, I came up with a shot list of all things you can stick CW to and things you shouldn’t stick it to.

We also wanted to do an installation video showing off how easy Customized Walls is to put up. We had two of the 10 yr olds put it up and I think the video came out terrific! I hope you enjoy these. Lots of hard work went in…including some actual sweat and tears…BUT it is done! And, we are pretty proud of it!

Working Hard for da Money

Ut Oh…

So, if anyone tells you starting a web business is easy, don’t listen. I have been working for a year about 14 hrs a day 7 days a week. I have hardly seen friends, taught my kids to do laundry and dishes, and cleaned my house the base minimum just to be presentable.


All this work makes Laurie a DULL girl!

So, what is a girl to do when her brain is mush from emailin, callin, design changin, social media-in, sample requestin to do?


Why take funny pictures of herself of course.


I can not recommend it enough. So, if you own or are starting a business, step away from the puter at pick up your smartphone and click away.


I dont know about you, but it certainly relieves MY stress and makes me laugh at myself a little. It never is good to take yourself too seriously!
